I am so very absent from here lately, sigh. Bright side? I’m down to 189. :D

Sooo

My last weigh in was 193 o.O but it may or may not be because I have had some serious stomach issues these past few days. I’m finally getting my appetite after like 4 days of not being able to eat full meals. My updates have been sparing lately, been busy with life stuffs. Still going forward though! If 193 sticks, that’s 37 lbs I’ve lost total!

Updates shmupdates.

I have been consistently under 200 as of late! Thank goodness that is over with. Now I gotta start convincing myself to get back to the right diet. Exercise is all fine and dandy, but eating ice cream and chocolate is not exactly on track. :P But I’m sticking with it, I’m not letting myself go completely overboard.

It’s not how long it takes to get there, it’s just that I get there…

198.4 today. Can this mean the end to my 200 lb plateau?? I’m hoping yes. :D

Interesting info from Jillian Michaels

  • What advice do women always ask you for?
  • They get caught on plateaus. In that case what you need to do is give yourself a couple of days of rest and bump up your calories by 10 percent. When you lose weight quickly, your body often responds by releasing hormones to increase your appetite and store more fat. That's a survival instinct meant to help us conserve fuel during times of famine. You can outsmart it by eating a little more and resting. That usually helps jump-start your metabolism again.

On a more positive note, I took this yesterday and was thinking, hey, I actually like how my body looks! I’ve been feeling much more positive and confident with myself lately, despite the temporary slow down in weight loss.

(Wooh for workout jackets and boyfriend’s boxer-briefs)

ughgh

Mannn this plateau is really getting to me. I actually haven’t weighed in for awhile, but mostly because I think I’m either the same or a few pounds heavier. Still going to weigh in today to see. (Edit: Weighed myself and I do indeed still weight the same, 200 lbs) I haven’t posted as much lately because I don’t want to be a downer, but after hitting this unfortunate little plateau, its been taking a lot to get me back to being motivated. Luckily I’m still working out, thanks to my brother who takes me to the gym with him, but my diet needs some definite control and improvement.

SO, the plan is to go really hard for the rest of March. Eating all the right foods, drinking lots and lots of water, and doing cardio as well as weight training. (Up til now I’ve been doing mostly cardio at the gym). I have goals that I want to get to, and the only way to reach them is to actually work at them. This is something that I have to remember. It’s not just going to happen on its own, with anything in life.

So here’s to hopefully my last post about this stupid plateau and trying to get re-motivated! Hope everyone is staying on track and doing your best, remember not to give up!
